Leah Helbig: Recreational Director
Growing up Leah played competitive soccer and maintained a position on the NYS Olympic Development Team for 3 years. She earned a scholarship to a Division 1 University and was named All-Conference Player her 1st year. Leah then went on to obtain her Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Union University. Leah and her husband where Church youth leaders fro 5 years before moving to TN. Inspired by her time in the classroom, she now home schools her four children. Her enthusiastic personality and passion for athletics makes her a great coach for our young athletes!
Mariah Marlowe: Xcel Team Director
After being part of the River City team as a gymnast, Mariah went to the University of Memphis and earned a Bachelors Degree in Finance . Mariah works full time at Ameriprise as a Paraplanner and comes in after a long day to coach our Xcel Team. Her love for her gymnasts and River City shows everyday in her passion and dedication to helping them achieve their dreams!
Keno Anderson: Co-Owner
Keno received a Bachelors Degree in Marketing Management from The University of Memphis. After originally signing for football and baseball, he chose to focus on baseball where he was a scholarship athlete and Conference USA Honor roll recipient. After his athletic career he was the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for D1 Sports Training and contracted thru Briarcrest Christian School, where his primary focus was developing the strength and speed performance of high school, college, and professional athletes. He is a devoted father to 3 children and is passionate about training athletes to success. Keno co-manages the team program and heads the strength program for all our competitive gymnasts.
Mollie Jane Williams: Office Director
MJ attained a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and Middle Grades Education at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and taught in the Germantown School District. Prior to college, MJ was a level10 gymnast. She was also a dedicated leader at UTC and president of her sorority, and Panhellenic Women of the Year, assisting in raising money for Erlanger Children's Hospital. Her experienced leadership qualities and background in gymnastics make her a great roll model and coach for our gymnasts.
Jessica Prince: River City Academy Director
Jessica started taking tumbling and dance when she was 8 and was a competitive cheerleader for 5 years. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Math Education from University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and taught math for 9 years at Center Hill Middle School in Olive Branch, MS before becoming our Academy Director. After coaching gymnastics and cheer in Mississippi for over 20 years, she joined the River City Staff in 2013. Jessica has 2 children. She has a dedication to our program and a passion for the sport that is apparent in her perseverance towards success.
All River City Gymnastics instructors are USA Gymnastics Members with current Safety Certifications and Background checks. Below are a few staff bios.
Erica Anderson: Co-Owner
Erica was a River City gymnast from age 6-17. After competing level 10 for 4 years and attending the University of Memphis, she has coached competitive teams for 21 years. She has 3 children and manages our team program. Erica is the Meet Director for all the competitive meets that we host and also a GK Elite Sportswear Sales Rep. Appointed by USA Gymnastics, she is also the TOPs Manager for the state of Tennessee.
