Program Overview

All team coaches are  USA Gymnastics Professional Members with current Safety Certification and background checks.  They also have extensive backgrounds in the gymnastics and sports industry.  Many are also educators who are experienced in teaching and mentoring children.  They strive for perfection to facilitate success.  They are also extensively trained in our program to exemplify the "River City  Way".   Prayerful * Patient * Positive * Productive

Training Program
Our training program, including skill progressions, is devised from the National Team Training Program.  We also have an experienced strength, conditioning, & speed coach who has trained many club, college, & professional athletes.  Ballet is also part of our weekly training program.  Our very specific training program lowers the risk of injury and facilitates a very well rounded gymnast capable of reaching her maximum potential.

Physical Therapist

We have a Physical Therapist on staff who also owns his own practice.  He assists with the evaluation of flexibility, joint movement, pain, and injures.  Our PT is an important part of the prevention of movement issues and injuries.

Competitive Team Mission

The mission for our competitive USA Gymnastics teams is much the same as our gym mission.  We strive to be prayerful, patient, positive & productive.  We strive towards accomplishment and character building.  We are concerned with teaching skills and developing strategy designed to succeed but we also put a lot of emphasis on developing positive character traits, being a good teammate & friend, & supporting our community.  Competitive gymnastics gives children many opportunities to experience life lessons, which in turn, help them become successful in life.
